THROW IN.

In football, a throw-in is used to restart play when the ball goes out of bounds along the touchlines (the long sides of the field). Here's how to properly deliver a throw-in:

Position:

The throw must be taken from the point where the ball crossed the touchline.
Both feet must be on the ground, and they must either be on the touchline or behind it.

Ball Handling:

The ball must be held with both hands.
It should be thrown from behind and over the head in one continuous motion.

Foot Placement:

You must keep both feet on the ground during the throw-in. They can be on or behind the line, but one or both feet cannot leave the ground until after the ball is released.

Foul Throw:

If any of these rules are not followed (e.g., lifting a foot or not throwing the ball over the head), it results in a "foul throw," and possession is given to the opposing team for a new throw-in from the same spot.

Movement Restrictions:

The player taking the throw-in must not cross the touchline until the ball has left their hands.
The thrower cannot touch the ball again until it has touched another player.

Opposition Distance:

Opponents must stand at least 2 meters (about 6.5 feet) away from the point of the throw-in.

Scoring:

A player cannot score a goal directly from a throw-in. The ball must touch another player before it can be counted as a goal.

Key Tips:

Throw the ball with enough distance to reach a teammate.
Look for teammates who are unmarked or in a better position to control the ball.
Maintain proper form to avoid a foul throw.

Mastering these mechanics will help ensure that the ball is delivered effectively and legally back into play.
